Greetings from an Amtrak train on my way home to Connecticut! I’ve just spent 3 days in Virginia getting the mix for my Nutcracker project underway. (I’ve recorded the entire score for the Nutcracker ballet for guitar orchestra – a combination of all sorts of guitars, acoustic and electric).
I went south to work again with my friend Kim Person. Kim is a truly great engineer and it was good fun to be sitting in the studio working on music with her again. (I’ve created more than 20 albums with her over the years). I brought the raw tracks down so we could begin the process of properly putting it all together. It’ll take a while to do this simply because of the amount of music, so you’ll have to wait a few more months to hear it, but I can tell you this: it’s sounding really good and will be like nothing you’ve heard before!
Anyway, best wishes to all,
