August…

Greetings ~

I hope your summer is going well. Mine is. Two months ago yesterday I got out of the hospital after my back surgery. Yesterday I took a hike in NW Connecticut with my son. Nothing too strenuous – but a hike nonetheless. And then we kayaked for a while. Feeling good is a wonderful thing!

Musically, I’m keeping busy, although not with shows (as you can tell by my calendar). I’ve just finished arranging my Powhatan Suite for full orchestra – a big project that I have worked for years on! Now to figure out how to get an actual orchestra to play it, hmmm….

I’m also playing lots of guitar again. And this coming week I’m going back to work on my guitar orchestra version of the entire score to The Nutcracker. I’ve been away from it for a while but it’s now time to dig back in.

And I’m thinking about new compositions as well. We’ll see. I’ve no shortage of things to do.

Enjoy the summer. Best wishes to all!
