Playing in Syracuse AND new cds coming!

I’m heading to Syracuse in the morning to play for the Guitar League tomorrow night (Tuesday, April 3rd). Then I’ll do a workshop for them on Wednesday evening.
AND my new cd High Street is due to ship on April 10th. So I’ll be making that available for purchase on the store page this week.
My other new cd Cool Tunes for Harp Guitar is heading for mastering today. So it’s truly not far behind High Street!

Greetings all ~
After a fantastic trip to Colorado, Nancy and I are home. I tallied up in my head the other day that I’ve played something like 30 shows in Colorado over the years. But I’d never gotten very far into the mountains or ever to the southwest part of the state. It’s an absolutely beautiful place indeed!
Fed-Ex delivered the test copy of my new cd High Street today and it sounds pretty good to me. So I’m approving it for duplication and that means in 2 weeks, I should have copies. Cool Tunes for Harp Guitar (my next new one) follows shortly after…

Mesa Verde

Nancy and I are in Colorado vacationing. We arrived on Thursday and each day has been more spectacular than the last. We spent today in Mesa Verde. I don’t have adequate words for the magic of this place (so I guess that means I’ll be needing to write a tune, huh). It’s a powerful experience visiting these canyons and seeing the cliff dwellings made by earlier Americans…

Hello world ~
I had a great time playing in North Andover, Massachusetts this past weekend. Thanks to the Crossroads concert series for having me!
My next shows aren’t until next month. Then I’ll play in Syracuse, NY (April 3rd with a workshop on the 4th), Centerville, Delaware on April 14th, and on Long Island, NY on April 21st (workshop and concert). The last weekend of April I’ll play a night in NC and a couple of shows in Virginia. Details are either on my calendar page or will be showing up there soon.
My 2 new cds are moving along toward being physical reality. High Street heads to the final pre-manufacturing stage by tomorrow evening. So another couple of weeks and I should have them in hand. Cool Tunes for Harp Guitar is in the pipeline about a week or two behind High Street. They are out of my hands. What’s happening now is that Kim Person, who has recorded nearly everything I’ve done up to this point (since 1987, when I first started recording), is doing some tweaking to what this time – I’ve recorded myself. She’s double-checking what I’ve done, adding the perfect touch of reverb, and just making sure the sound is as good as can be before it goes to the mastering phase. She’s on the last 2 (of 14) tunes on High Street now. At mastering, it all gets tweaked even further by the amazing Bill Wolf, who in turn sends the tracks on to Oasis, the manufacturer.

Massachusetts this Saturday, bobcats and billboards…

I had a fun time playing in Vermont this past weekend, at the Good Times Cafe in Hinesburg, up near Burlington. Thanks Chris!
Vermont is a beautiful state indeed and Nancy and I had a good time walking around in Burlington and then exploring some back roads on Saturday and Sunday. It struck me as both fascinating and encouraging that we saw more bobcats than billboards. We only saw one bobcat, the first wild feline I’ve ever seen. As for billboards, Vermont apparently doesn’t allow them – so we didn’t see any. I’ll tell you what, folks: if they’re not there, you absolutely don’t miss them! Bravo, Vermont!
